Let’s Go” was the lead track and most popular single off The Cars 1979 release Candy-O that also featured quasi-hits "It's All I Can Do" and "Dangerous Type." While the pop-synth minimalism and New Wave style employed by The Cars earned them their fair share of popular and critical acclaim, Jon “Henrietta” Fishman was apparently not among their admirers. The intro and outro passages that wrapper “Henrietta” songs are used not because he loves them, but rather because he hates them with vitriolic passion. Argent’s “Hold Your Head Up” has been by far the most-often used stick to prod Fish. Also in rotation in the early 90s was Foreigner’s “Cold As Ice” and on six occasions “Let’s Go,” which in each case set up either “Terrapin” or “Love You.” Ladies and gentlemen, we give you The Henrietta Hall of Shame!
